What is Clash Royale?
“Clash Royale” is a mobile game that was released globally on March 2, 2016. The main game mode features the goal of destroying more of your opponents’ “towers” then the amount of your “towers” they destroy before time runs out using a plethora of different cards, characters, and spells.
Clash Royale is a free-to-play real-time strategy video game developed and published by Supercell. The game combines elements from collectible card games, tower defense, and multiplayer online battle arena.
Combining strategic placement and knowledge of the different cards is the only way, in my opinion, to be “good” at the game. Without both placement and knowledge of the cards, your defense will crumble leaving you with zero offense. You have to be able to find a good trade-off between having low average elixer card cost, but while also having strong cards to utlize. You can check how an algorithm would rate your card deck by clicking here. You can seamlessly enter in your player ID to check your deck or manually enter in the cards of your choice. It’ll provide you with a detailed analysis of the deck and make suggestions and recommendation of what cards to have or not have. Maybe your card deck will benefit from swapping out an attacker card for a defensive card that is strong against air attacks. This website will tell you.
One interesting thing is that Clash Royale has a huge e-sports focus. Supercell hosts tournaments weekly that offer some sort of tantalizing in-game prize. Through clan groups, there exists is another opportunity to win more rewards.
The pros of “Clash Royale” all lay within its stunningly simple but entertaining graphics, interesting gameplay mechanics, and overall clean-cut enjoyment. It’s a AAA mobile game that has stood the test of time. So far, I haven’t experienced any bugs or glitches. Good job on that, Supercell.
The cons within Clash Royale are that some properties that would be included within “pay to win games” such as their “Pass Royale” which makes upgrading and maxing out cards way easier, are used inside the game. “Pay To Win” games can be a real turnoff for some gaming enthusiasts and overall is just not fun to play for the average person.
In conclusion, Clash Royale is a great well-rounded game with beautifully strategic mechanics, wonderful graphic quality, and does not require an overflow of attention and investment.
