What is Plants vs Zombies 2?

Plants vs Zombies is a tower defense type of game where you would defend your house from zombies by planting various plants with various abilities.

It’s an interesting twist on the tower defense genre, where instead of towers you place down plants with superpowers. There is the classic campaign game mode where you traverse the story world levels in order to obtain new plants for your arsenal. And there’s also the Arena mode where you can battle against other players in real time. In Arena mode, two players go head to head by fighting the same horde of zombies as they both try to get more point than the other person. Each zombie defeated grants more points.

How to progress through the game

I recommend going through the story mode first before attempting the Arena mode. Because in order to win Arena mode, you need good plants. To get good plants, you need to get them through story mode. The Arena mode changes weekly, with new mixups of zombies and with different plant classes getting a power up. Some plant classes become weakened or ineffective in Arena mode to switch strategies up. There are 14 different plant classes: Fila-mint, Pepper-mint, Winter-mint, Enlighten-mint, Reinforce-mint, Bombard-mint, Ail-mint, Enchant-mint, Contain-mint, Enforce-mint, Arma-mint, Conceal-mint, Spear-mint, and Appease-mint. Plants vs Zombies is known for its humourous plant puns, which is one of my favorite aspects of this game.

It was created by PopCap Games and published on July 9th, 2013. Since then, Electronic Arts has taken over the Plants vs Zombies franchise and has created a multiple spin off games, such as Garden Warfare.
